Aggieland Sports Alliance GOODBYE
Since the Spring of 2010, Aggieland Sports Alliance has provided competitive athletic opportunities for youth within the Brazos Valley community and surrounding areas. We have had the privilege of watching numerous young girls and boys grow into successful and productive members of society while pursuing their love of competitive sports. As a recognized 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Competitive Athletic Club, we have been blessed with talented coaches, administrators, and volunteers who worked diligently every season to provide our players with a sense of family while focusing on the development of fundamental skills, team play, and game situations.
After 16 seasons, we have decided it is time to "retire" Aggieland Sports Alliance. When we began there were no opportunities for girls to play in competitive programs within the Brazos Valley and very limited options for boys. Over the years we have not only seen the level of interest in athletic competition increase, but a significant growth in quality programs to service the youth in our community.
Our first couple of cohorts are now nurses, coaches, accountants, military service members, physical therapists, involved in criminal justice roles, collegiate sports administration, mothers, spouses, and so much more. Just because a player may have "graduated" from Aggieland Sports Alliance does not mean they ever stopped being an ASA "family" member. Even though our program has come to an end it does not mean the family we created will cease to exist. All of our coaches, administrators, and volunteers will continue to follow the growth and development of our ASA student athletes as they continue their journey in life.
From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for the past 16 years!
Respectfully,
Mike Hanik - ASA Club Director
Kimmie Daily - ASA Director of Teams & Coaches
Julie Hurley - ASA Club Administrator
Melissa Ray and Darby Hurley - ASA Treasurers
